Q:
How can I get my damaged media or file to Data
Recovery USA Inc. for an evaluation of my problem?
A:
Many files can be transferred online via secure ftp or even in some
cases e-mail if the file is under 1Gb. In the case of larger files or
other types of storage media such as hard drives, floppy disks, CD's
the media would need to be securely packaged and then shipped to our
lab where our technicians will perform a full evaluation to determine
the extent of your problem.
Q:
How long will it take to perform the data recovery
evaluation?
A:
In most cases the evaluation is completed within 24 hours and the technician
will contact you to discuss the details of your case.
Q:
Ok, my evaluation is complete... How long until
my data recovery is complete?
A:
Each recovery is unique and poses it own set of challenges and problems.
There are many fly by night recovery services that boast a 24 hour turn
around or same day services. Although this is possible for some small
file repairs and minor recoveries many recovery can take several days
to complete. Beware of a service that promises you 24 hour turn around
or same day services. In most cases its just not possible. A good guideline
would be 1-3 Days for most files, 2-5 Days for single hard drives and
other storage media. RAID Recovery, Servers and Databases repairs are
subject to many variables and an estimated competition time will be
given when the evaluation is completed and we have a better understanding
of the situation.
Q:
How much does data recovery cost?
A:
Again each recovery is unique and it simply impossible to provide a
set cost. Most file recoveries receive a free evaluation to determine
if the file is repairable. We also offer free evaluation of most hard
drives, CDs, DVDs, ZIP and Flash Memory sticks. In fact most all of
our clients receive a free evaluation. Only in the most extreme cases
where extensive setup is required do we charge for a setup/evaluation
and this fee is always applied to the cost of recovery once completed.
You will always be given a firm price for the recovery before any work
is done.
Q:
What if you are unable to recover my data?
A: No-Data... No-Charge
